CIGI Opens its Doors to the Public for a Community Day
Waterloo, Canada - On Sunday, May 27th, CIGI (Centre for International Governance Innovation), a leading Canadian international relations and policy research centre, welcomes the public to Thinking Globally, Locally; a free Community Day held in conjunction with the City of Waterloo's 150th Anniversary parade and picnic.
Thinking Globally, Locally is an open house featuring free activities and entertainment for all ages. The event includes: an outdoor lemonade tent, live entertainment by acoustic jazz artists, a wandering magician, children's craft and activities, an indoor cinema, airbrushed CIGI tattoos, a Chinese sword demonstration, engaging displays and an opportunity for the public to meet some of CIGI's researchers and participate in tours. Sponsors for this event include Words Worth Books, Engineers without Borders - University of Waterloo Chapter, and Goliger's Travel Plus Waterloo.
There will be a door prize draw for a one-night stay for two at the Inn of the Twenty in Jordon, Ontario. Activities will run from 1pm-5pm both indoors and outdoors.
