On December 17-18, 2006, a workshop was held near Waterloo, Ontario Canada to assess Afghanistan's progress since the end of the Taliban regime. Among the 35 participants at the workshop were diplomats, academics, aid workers, soldiers and practitioners with extensive experience in Afghanistan. This report will highlight some of the key areas of discussion, including: The Role of Pakistan; The Growth of the Drug Economy; and, Canada's Role in Afghanistan.
