Brookings and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) are pleased to invite you to a lunch seminar on “Global Development Cooperation and Effectiveness” to be held on Friday, February 3, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. This seminar will feature a presentation by Brookings senior fellow and Global Economy and Development Program deputy director Homi Kharas, and will be held in the Brookings Stein room (1775 Massachusetts Ave. NW).

In the summer of 2011 the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee convened high-level policymakers in Busan, South Korea at the Fourth Busan High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in hopes of making headway on concrete, political commitments to international development goals. Homi Kharas was the chair of the final plenary session and will give remarks on the forum’s implications for global development cooperation and aid effectiveness.
