Conference co-hosted by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and the Seoul Forum for International Affairs, and co-sponsored by the Korea Foundation, with the participation of CIGI Acting Executive Director Thomas A. Bernes and CIGI G20 experts. The Canada Korea Forum will bring together a panel of high-level political, business and academic leaders to discuss issues pertinent to the Canada-Korea relationship.

The timing of this year’s meeting is particularly salient given Canada’s and Korea’s responsibilities in hosting the G8 and G20 in Toronto and Seoul. The Canada-Korea Forum 8 will begin with a special focus on this cooperation, reviewing outcomes of June’s G20. Overseas development assistance, energy cooperation, capacity building for human bridges and free trade will also be on the agenda.
