UW Chair and Chair of Alternatives Journal editorial board. A specialist in environmental and sustainability policy issues, and a former politician, Bob is currently collaborating on a framework for the next generation of environmental law in Canada.

Colin Isaacs

Well known consultant and environmental journalist who has served as the director of the Recycling Council of Ontario and the executive director of Pollution Probe. Publisher of the Gallon Environment Letter addressing environmental issues across Canada.

Nicola Ross, Editor in chief, Alternatives Journal

Raised on the Niagara Escarpment in Toronto’s urban shadow, Nicola developed a keen sense of place at an early age. The award-winning author of four books, Nicola is the editor of Alternatives Journal and a regular columnist with In the Hills magazine.

Karen Kraft Sloan, Founder at EcoNexus

Karen has more than thirty years experience in government and the private sector. She served Canada as the Ambassador for the Environment and as a Member of Parliament.

Robert Paehlke, Founding editor, Alternatives Journal

Professor emeritus of Environmental and Resource Studies and Political Science at Trent University in Peterborough. Paehlke is the author of Some Like it Cold: The Politics of Climate Change in Canada, and several other books.
