The next IP law clinic seminar will outline the first steps involved in getting a patent. This includes both patent searching and patent applications. We’ll guide you through the American, Canadian, and Google patent databases, and discuss provisional patent applications, including their preparation and pitfalls.
The IP law clinic is a summer initiative by both Communitech and CIGI affiliated with Miller Thompson, Bereskin & Parr, and Phillips Lytle. The clinic consists of law students providing free legal advice under the supervision of a lawyer, Jim Hinton.
