This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together specialists for intensive discussions on key regional developments in East Asia. The project aims to shed light on the complex interplay of various forces which have transformed East Asia into one of the most dynamic and multifaceted regions in the world. It will assess the extent and implications of the changing dynamics in East Asia.

Kimie Hara, CIGI Fellow
CIGI Fellow Kimie Hara specializes in international relations of the Asia-Pacific region, with particular focus on Japan and East Asia. She is the Renison Research Professor in East Asian Studies at the University of Waterloo.
