UN Deputy Secretary-General Louise Fréchette Joins CIGI as a Distinguished Fellow

Waterloo, Canada - Jim Balsillie, chair of The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), a leading Canadian international relations and policy research centre, is pleased to announce that Louise Fréchette, first UN Deputy Secretary-General and former Deputy Minister of National Defence of Canada, will join CIGI as a Distinguished Fellow in April 2006.

CIGI International Board of Governor Member Ángel Gurría Appointed OECD Secretary-General

Waterloo, Canada - The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), a leading Canadian think tank dedicated to the study of international affairs, is pleased to announce that one if its International Board of Governors members, Ángel Gurría, has been appointed Secretary-General by the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development).
