Alison DeMuy
Alison De Muy is CIGI's Director of Partnerships.
Background
Alison is CIGI's Director of Partnerships. Previously, she served as CIGI's Chief of Staff. Since joining CIGI in January 2004, Alison has been involved in the organizational development of the organization, as well as communications and marketing efforts.
Previously, Alison was co-director of the Forum for Young Canadians, a non-profit civics education organization located on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. She led several fundraising projects, and developed new programs such as the Canada-US Youth Summit and the Canada-Germany Young Leaders Program. In 1999, Alison worked for the Forum's American sister program, Presidential Classroom, in Washington, D.C. She has also been employed by the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., as well as on Parliament Hill for Members of Parliament.
Alison holds a MA in history from the University of Western Ontario and a BA (Honours) in history from the University of Ottawa. She also earned a B.Ed from the University of Ottawa.
