Background

Lisa Schaefer serves as CIGI's Manager of Human Resources. Since joining CIGI in 2008, she has managed all of the human resources programs and practices, including employee relations management, performance management, hiring, policy development and compensation.

Lisa has been working in a human resources capacity since 2000. Before joining CIGI, she was the HR Manager of a manufacturing company in Cambridge, and then an Employee Relations Specialist for an insurance company located in Waterloo. Lisa has also been a sessional lecturer at Conestoga College, where she taught Ethics at Work as part of the School of Liberal Studies Program.

Lisa has her Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University, her Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto and her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
