Background

Pierre Siklos is a senior fellow at CIGI and a professor of economics at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), where he teaches macroeconomics with a focus on inflation, central banks and financial markets. He is also the director of the Viessmann European Research Centre at WLU and managing editor of the North American Journal of Economics and Finance.

His research interests are applied time series analysis and central banking policies, which have been published in a variety of international journals, widely cited in several macro and econometrics textbooks, as well as funded by domestic and international agencies.

Prior to joining CIGI, Dr. Siklos served as chair of the Bundesbank Foundation of International Monetary Economics at Freie Universitat in Berlin. He has also served as a visiting professor at Oxford University, the University of California, San Diego and as an Erskine fellow at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. In 2000-2001, Dr. Skilos was named WLU’s University Research Professor of the Year.
