Susan Hirst, Background

Susan Hirst joined CIGI in 2009 and currently serves as CIGI’s organizational development manager. She currently manages human resources programs and practices, including recruitment and retention, training and development, compensation, and health and safety.

Prior to joining CIGI, Susan was employed as an independent HR consultant,  she was the human resource specialist for an insurance company managing multiple HR programs for the corporate office in Cambridge and a regional office in Vancouver, British Columbia, and a human resources manager for a manufacturing company located in Waterloo.

Susan completed her human resource studies at the University of Guelph and Conestoga College. She earned her master manager diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University and has her professional recruiter's designation.
