Lisa Schaefer

Background

Lisa Schaefer joined CIGI in 2008 and serves as CIGI's employee relations manager. She currently manages human resources programs and practices, including employee relations management, strategic initiatives, performance management and benefits.

Before joining CIGI, she was the HR manager of a manufacturing company in Cambridge, and then an employee relations specialist for an insurance company located in Waterloo. Lisa has also been a sessional lecturer at Conestoga College, where she taught "Ethics at Work" as part of the School of Liberal Studies Program. Lisa has her honours bachelor of business administration from Trent University, her master of industrial relations from the University of Toronto and her certified human resources professional (CHRP) designation.
