Max Brem is an adviser on publications development and an experienced editor who formerly headed up CIGI's publications and communications work. He is also associated with the York University Centre for Asian Research, and researches and writes on international political economy and global development topics.
Max Brem is an adviser on publications development and an experienced editor who formerly headed up CIGI's publications and communications work. He is also associated with the York University Centre for Asian Research, and researches and writes on international political economy and global development topics.
During his career, Max has held positions at York University and Ryerson University in Toronto, and at The North-South Institute in Ottawa, where he established the communications program and conducted policy research. He conducted policy and programming studies and a variety of other assignments for the Canadian International Development Agency for more than 10 years, specializing in Asia and multilateral initiatives. He has a background in journalism, including political and economic reporting from Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. He holds a master's degree in political economy from the New School for Social Research in New York.
