The countries with real influence on the world stage are changing. China, India and Brazil, with their rapidly expanding economies, have more say than they once did. And that means smaller countries such as Canada could be pushed more and more into the background. Gordon Smith says Canada will have to act now if it wants to maintain its voice at the international level. He's the director of Global Studies at the University of Victoria and a Distinguished Fellow with the Centre for International Governance Innovation. Marc Montgomery speaks with him about what Canada can do to maintain its presence on the world stage.
