The Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) is holding its annual meeting in Trinidad & Tobago on June 5, 2009. CIGI experts will be in attendance at the annual meeting to participate in a panel entitled "The UN System amid the Shifting Global Order: New Coordination Challenges and Leadership Opportunities." Focus will be given to how some Southern states are now shaping the international cooperation agenda and opportunities for niche diplomacy for smaller states in the UN System. The balance between vulnerability and resilience in state behaviour and in the UN system is a common theme.

There will also be a book launch for the recently released book, The Diplomacies of Small States: Between Vulnerability and Resilience.
