As world leaders prepare for the next G20 Summit in Cannes this November, CIGI’11 will look deeper into the G20 process with sessions on issues confronting the global economy, while more broadly developing innovative proposals for global governance. Former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo and former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin will open the conference with a public conversation, moderated by Chrystia Freeland, on Friday October 28. The former leaders will discuss how to secure the future success of the G20. The public event will be followed by an invitation-only weekend workshop, October 29-30. International participants will address questions around G20 agenda issues.
