Amr ElAlfy is a Ph.D. candidate and sessional instructor at the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo. Amr’s background is in corporate social responsibility with an emphasis on using big data and artificial intelligence to optimize corporate reporting. He has also held several prestigious fellowships and awards. Before joining SEED, Amr spent more than eight years in business development in multinational conglomerates, namely Nestlé and 3M, where he led the marketing and corporate social responsibility functions for the Middle East and Africa Region. He has applied his expertise in research, program management, corporate social responsibility, impact measurement and capacity development. Amr is also a co-founder and the managing director of Synergy Sustainability and Development Group.
