Irene Sage is an associate director of CIGI’s African Initiative.
Between 1997 and 2003 Dr. Sage was director of the Foundation for International Security, a UK charitable foundation undertaking Track II conflict resolution initiatives in Moldova, Northern Iraq and Cambodia, and a global food security program. Previously, she worked with the UK-based Centre for Conflict Analysis.
Dr. Sage served as a board member of Cambodia Trust, the largest UK charitable foundation working in Cambodia. She received her PhD in international political economy from the University of Kent (Canterbury) in the UK and her MA in political science from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
