M. V. Ramana is a physicist and a visiting research scholar affiliated with the Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy and the Program on Science and Global Security at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International affairs (WWSPIa), Princeton University.

His current research interests include nuclear power and climate change. Before joining the WWSPIa, he was a senior fellow at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Environment and Development in Bangalore, India. There he examined the economics, safety and environmental impacts of nuclear power in India. He is completing a book on nuclear power in India that is expected to come out in 2010.
