Patrik Fältström

Patrik Fältström is the head of Engineering, Research and Development at Netnod. He has previously served in leadership roles at the Internet Engineering Task Force, Internet Architecture Board and Internet Society (1998–2009); he was a distinguished engineer at Cisco Systems and has worked at Tele2 in Sweden, the Swedish Navy and Bunyip in Canada.

Patrik Fältström is the head of Engineering, Research and Development at Netnod. He has previously served in leadership roles at the Internet Engineering Task Force, Internet Architecture Board and Internet Society (ISOC) (1998–2009); he was a distinguished engineer at Cisco Systems and has worked at Tele2 in Sweden, the Swedish Navy and Bunyip in Canada.

Patrik was also appointed adviser to the Swedish IT minister (2003–2014), and has been the chair of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers Security and Stability Committee since 2011. He has been working with internet-related standardization and development since 1985 and is one of the founders of the ISOC Special Interest Group on Internet of Food.

Patrik holds an M.Sc. in mathematics from the University of Stockholm. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. In January 2011, Patrik received the Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana, V class, from the president of Estonia.
