In the role of multimedia producer, Trevor Hunsberger is tasked with communicating CIGI’s research and expertise in creative, informative and entertaining ways. Utilizing new techniques in video, audio and animation on CIGI and OpenCanada’s websites, YouTube and social media channels. Trevor’s work on OpenCanada’s “Kurdistan Explained” video was nominated for Best Video Content by the Canadian Online Publishing Awards.

Prior to joining CIGI, Trevor was a founding partner of Rosco Films, a Waterloo-based film production company focused on telling the stories of non-profits. For example, Rosco Films produced The Elmira Case a short documentary for Community Justice Initiatives, a local non-profit doing work on restorative justice. He produced The Volunteer an independent feature length dramatic film which was accepted to the Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival.

Trevor is a graduate of Niagara College’s Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film program, with a specialization in Television Production.
