Using an integrated multidisciplinary research approach, CIGI provides leading academics, government and private sector legal experts, as well as students from Canada and abroad with the opportunity to contribute to advancements in international law. Charles F. Sabel is a CIGI senior fellow. He is currently the Maurice T. Moore Professor of Law and Social Science at Columbia Law School, a position he has held since 1995. Previously, Charles was the Florence Rogatz Visiting Professor at Yale Law School during the 2014-2015 academic year, and formerly the Ford International Professor of Social Science in the department of political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

 
Teresa Scassa

Senior Fellow

Teresa Scassa is a CIGI senior fellow. She is also the Canada Research Chair in Information Law and Policy and a full professor at the University of Ottawa’s Law Faculty, where her groundbreaking research explores issues of data ownership and control. Teresa is an award-winning scholar, and is the author and editor of five books, and over 65 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She has a track record of interdisciplinary collaboration to solve complex problems of law and data, and is currently part of the Geothink research partnership.
