Thomas A. Bernes is a CIGI Distinguished Fellow. After a distinguished career in the Canadian public service and at leading international economic institutions, Tom was CIGI’s executive director from 2009 to 2012. He has held high-level positions at the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Government of Canada. He became a distinguished fellow in 2012.
James M. Boughton is a CIGI senior fellow. James’s research focuses on the evolution of Canada’s role in international governance since the 1940s and the potential for further evolution in the near future.
Paul Jenkins is a CIGI distinguished fellow. His research focuses on international policy coordination and financial stability, with a particular interest in the G20. Previously he served as senior deputy governor of the Bank of Canada.
Malcolm D. Knight is a CIGI Distinguished Fellow. He is also deputy chair of the board of directors of Payments Canada, visiting professor of finance at the London School of Economics and a director of the Global Risk Institute in Financial Services.
CIGI Senior Fellow Gregory Makoff is researches issues in international financial policy, including the management of sovereign debt crises. He is an expert in sovereign debt and an experienced debt capital markets professional.
Bessma Momani is a senior fellow, joining CIGI in 2004. She has a Ph.D. in political science with a focus on international political economy, and is professor at the Balsillie School of International Affairs and the University of Waterloo.
Susan Schadler is a CIGI Senior Fellow. She is a former deputy director of the International Monetary Fund’s European Department. Her research interests include the sovereign debt crisis, global capital flows, global financial institutions and growth models for emerging market economies.
