Bio

Eric Rancourt is the director-general of the modern statistical methods and data science branch at Statistics Canada. He has worked at Statistics Canada for 30 years where he has occupied several management roles within the organization and has been involved in multiple research and application projects related to data and related methods. He has been involved in many professional statistical associations and is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute. His current research work focuses on frameworks for optimizing privacy and information and on data ethics.
