Ruhiya Seward is a senior program officer at Canada’s International Development Research Centre and is based in the Middle East Regional Office in Amman, Jordan. She supports a portfolio of research on the governance of digital technologies in the Global South, with a particular focus on gender equality and feminist issues online. Ruhiya has a Ph.D. in comparative politics and an M.Sc. in international relations. Her most recent publication is Making Open Development Inclusive: Lessons from IDRC Research (MIT Press 2020), co-edited with Matthew L. Smith.
