Jennifer Jeffs
International Economic Governance
Jennifer is a senior fellow at CIGI and president of the Canadian International Council.
Background
As a CIGI Senior Fellow, Dr. Jeffs current research work focuses on the evolution of the international payment system and international financial regulatory standards in light of global power shifts. She also works on the Americas and public diplomacy. Prior to joining CIGI and the CIC, Dr. Jeffs was the founder and director of the Center for Inter-American Studies and Programs, a Latin American think tank that runs a prestigious research fellowship program, and is based at ITAM in Mexico City, where she was also a professor in the Department of International Relations. Her background also includes public affairs programming at the Council of the Americas/Americas Society in New York City, and positions in the financial industry in Toronto and New York. Her PhD in International Political Economy is from the University of Toronto.
