WATERLOO — The one thing U.S. ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman says he's being asked about most these days is the one thing he can't really talk about — the race for the White House.
"There isn't a place in Canada … where somebody doesn't pull me aside with a question, or a statement," Heyman told an audience at the Centre for International Governance Innovation on Wednesday.
But he said his role as a diplomat is to be just that — diplomatic.
"It's our responsibility to not be involved in politics," he said.
