Volunteerism and grassroots level leadership in community development symbolizes Canada. I believe that the shared vision in community leadership and selfless contributions from volunteers are pillars of our country. Collaboration between government, businesses and non-profit organizations has strengthened those pillars. The success of such vision and collaboration has made a tremendous impact on our community. While organizations like The Working Centre and Cambridge Self-help Food Bank symbolize community support for people in need, organizations like the Centre for International Governance Innovation and the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo symbolize a shared vision for building a strong community and strong nation.
