The countries with real influence on the world stage are changing. China, India and Brazil, with their rapidly expanding economies, have more say than they once did. And that means smaller countries such as Canada could be pushed more and more into the background. Gordon Smith says Canada will have to act now if it wants to maintain its voice at the international level.
