WATERLOO — The Centre for International Governance Innovation, based in Waterloo, was rated among the top think tanks in the world in a global ranking that considers thousands of think tanks.
The Global Go To Think Tank Index is an annual ranking compiled by the University of Pennsylvania's Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program, which has a database of more than 6,826 think-tanks.
CIGI ranked 32nd worldwide — the second-highest ranking for a Canadian think tank — behind the Fraser Institute, which was rated 26th.
