Thanks to ever more efficient methods of transportation and communication, it is easier today — and more necessary — than ever before for businesses to think globally. This presents challenges as well as opportunities. Global businesses have more potential customers, but they face more challenges in marketing to emerging markets. They can generate greater profits, but face bigger downsides from crises or failures.
