The Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar has been a popular dining spot in Waterloo since 1999.

It’s in a 150-year-old brick building that’s smack dab in the centre of last week’s “mystery” photo, which was snapped in the mid-1960s looking over the northwest corner of the old Seagram distillery at Erb and Caroline streets, now closed for 20 years.

Also visible above the restaurant is another Seagram building that now holds ReMax Twin City Realty at 83 Erb St. W. And the right side of the photo is now part of the CIGI Campus, which so far includes the …
