In this video blog, CIGI's Daniel Schwanen assesses the G8's declaration on bilateral and multilateral trade and call to complete the Doha Development Round within the World Trade Organization. However, Mr Schwanen concludes that while the G8 can move the debate forward, it cannot do so in isolation without support from key emerging economies.
