Laurier Professor Jorge Heine to be Visiting Professor at La Sorbonne

Jorge Heine, a professor of political science at Wilfrid Laurier University, will be the Pablo Neruda Visiting Professor of Latin American Studies at the University of Paris III, La Sorbonne Nouvelle, in the fall of 2012.

Heine will be based at the Institute D’Hautes Etudes D’ Amerique Latine (IHEAL), and will teach a course on relations between Latin America and Asia. He will also be working on his latest book, under contract with Routledge for its Global Institutions series, entitled 21st Century Democracy Promotion in the Americas.
