According to Defence Minister David McGuinty, the government’s forthcoming Defence Industrial Strategy will emphasize dual-use technologies that serve both civilian and defence needs, with details to be unveiled after the fall budget.

To know more about the defence industrial strategy and Canada's plans for diversification, the Globe and Mail spoke to Raquel Garbers. "Canada should be wary of overdiversification away from the US," says Garbers.
