Ontario is investing in cutting-edge research, education, and training opportunities to help people build the knowledge and skills they need to get good-paying jobs and compete in the global economy.

Initiatives include:

  • Providing $6 million over three years to support mathematical science research through the Fields Institute, which works closely with the business sector to transfer technology and information between mathematical scientists and businesses. The transfer of mathematic expertise will help businesses increase competitiveness and growth, while also spurring the creation of high-skilled jobs through the launch of new start-up companies.
