Waterloo, ON - What does $3.5 million get you these days? If you're Research In Motion co-CEO Jim Balsillie and the Centre for International Governance Innovation, it gets you four chairs and 30 fellows.

Last night, Balsillie signed the contract that ensures the appointment of two research chairs and 15 fellowships in international public policy at both of Waterloo's universities.

"This is an evolving relationship and this represents one very positive step forward," Balsillie said of the collaboration between the Centre for International Governance Innovation, the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.
