A trade deal with the European Union could give Canadian businesses “first mover advantage” over American firms if Canada and the EU are able to nail down a deal before the latter turns its attention to the United States, analysts say.

Meanwhile, observers are also weighing in on what a Canada-EU deal could mean for the two sides and, at a more practical level, for Canadians.
