"Solution to the Problem"
I am a tree hugger
Hugging is what I do
I am a tree lover
Loving is what I do
I am a tree hugger
Hugging is what I do
For the healing of the nation,
Hug a tree or two.
Where to begin and what to say
There are so many problems in the world today
But how can we heal the world that lies, inside all of our crippled minds
Because that's what they are
Convergent, unable to be divergent
Many a time, we've all heard it before
Who cares about climate change?
As long as my plate is packed
I'm alright Jack
Who care if governments and corporations cut down all the trees,
Pollute the rivers and seas?
I need the gas for my car
To get me around Kampala!
I'm a tree hugger
Hugging is what I do
I am a tree lover
Loving is what I do
I am a tree hugger
Hugging is what I do
For the healing of the nation
Hug a tree or two
Now don't bury your head in the sand
Or get defensive because the truth is offensive
Just take the time to prime the mind
To think about the consequences
No trees.
Polluted rivers and seas.
We can already see the consequences for humanity
It's the trees that allow us to breathe
And the planet that fees
Prophesies of old foretold these earth changes
The rising seas, but also the spiritual awakening of humanity
Co-operation not competition
Sustainability not over-consumption
Love not hate await the next generation
I'm a tree hugger
Hugging what I do
I'm a tree lover
Loving is what I do
I am a tree hugger
Hugging is what I do
For the healing of the nation
Hug a tree or two.
