The last few months should have been pretty gratifying for Waterloo residents, helping to reaffirm the belief that they live in an intelligent and engaged community that is growing in the right direction.
Despite qualms over the financial health of the city’s techno giant, Research In Motion, which has taken beatings over the less than successful launch of the Playbook, the loss of BlackBerry network coverage, and trouble in the stock market, three other developments in the region are, to me at least, reason for optimism and symbolic of the direction the community wants to grow in.
