TransCanada announced it's holding a "binding open season" to solicit firm shipper commitments for its Energy East pipeline. This as it awaits a decision from the Obama administration on its Keystone XL pipeline this summer. BNN speaks to Thomas Homer-Dixon, CIGI chair of global systems at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, who recently wrote an opinion column in the New York Times arguing against building the Keystone pipeline and imploring President Obama to reject the project.
