U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk announced this month that Canada and Mexico have joined Japan in expressing interest in participating in the Transpacific Trade Partnership (TPP), an investment and trade initiative that the Obama administration considers a "top priority" in its Asia- Pacific strategy.
