Waterloo, ON- On the first weekend of March, the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the World Bank co-hosted a two-day joint seminar on the challenges of international development in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This seminar provided the opportunity for over 120 Canadian graduate students to interact with development experts and discuss key issues on today’s international development agenda, including how the various actors in development carry out operations, the difficulties of aid coordination, the impact of trade on development; lessons learned by practitioners; and how multilateral development policies are formulated.
