The ISN concludes its analysis of the problems facing contemporary international organizations with a podcast focussed upon the World Trade Organization's (WTO) response to the changing dyanmics of the international system. Our guest, CIGI's Debra Steger, notes that the internal dynamics of the WTO have changed as a consequence of the rise of emerging market economies. Not only will the WTO have to adapt its approach to trade negotiations it will also need to strike a balance between its strong dispute settlement mechanisms and a comparatively weak negotiating framework.
