The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will hold its 10th annual meeting on the theme “Evolution of Internet Governance: Empowering Sustainable Development" in João Pessoa, Brazil, from November 10-13, 2015. This year's IGF will focus on a range of sub-themes, including cyber security and trust; Internet economy; inclusiveness and diversity; openness; enhancing multi-stakeholder cooperation; Internet and human rights; critical Internet resources; and emerging issues. The IGF serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet. While there is no negotiated outcome, the IGF informs and inspires those with policy-making power in both the public and private sectors. The IGF facilitates a common understanding of how to maximize Internet opportunities and address risks and challenges that arise.

CIGI Senior Fellow Bill Graham will attend the IGF, along with Research Associate Samantha Bradshaw and Research Fellow Eric Jardine. In addition, a number of commissioners and research advisory network members from CIGI’s Global Commission on Internet Governance project will be in attendance.
