The Canadian Intellectual Property Office, the Centre for International Governance Innovation and the World Intellectual Property Organization are pleased to co-host the 8th Annual IP Data & Research Conference on November 4, 5 and 6, 2025.
Launched in 2018, this free conference serves as a key platform for experts to exchange insights and advancements in intellectual property (IP) data, policy and research. This conference is instrumental in fostering innovation, shaping policy and promoting global collaboration among researchers.
This year’s conference will explore the theme of “IP Offices: A Catalyst for Innovation.” Day 1 (Data Day, November 4, 2025) will offer an in-depth look at research projects and provide experts with a platform to showcase the methodologies and data that support their findings, highlighting the “how” behind their conclusions.

L'Office de la propriété intellectuelle du Canada (OPIC), le Centre pour l'innovation dans la gouvernance internationale (CIGI) (site en anglais) et l'Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) sont heureux d'organiser conjointement la 8e Conférence annuelle sur la recherche et les données en PI, qui se tiendra les 4, 5 et 6 novembre 2025.
La conférence, qui a eu lieu pour la première fois en 2018, est une activité gratuite qui sert de plateforme indispensable aux spécialistes pour échanger des idées et des avancées sur les données, les politiques et la recherche en matière de propriété intellectuelle (PI). Cette conférence contribue à encourager l'innovation, à élaborer des politiques et à faciliter la collaboration mondiale dans le milieu de la recherche.
Cette année, la Conférence abordera le thème « Les offices de PI : catalyseurs de l'innovation ». La première journée, soit la Journée des données (le 4 novembre 2025), offrira une analyse approfondie des projets de recherche.
