Africa Portal Launch Reception, featuring South Africa's Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation

CIGI's partner, the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), officially launches the  Africa Portal at a high profile event in Johannesburg on July 22, 2011.

Titled “A Reflection on South Africa’s Engagements with the Middle East and North Africa,” the event features South Africa’s deputy minister of international relations and co-operation, Ebrahim Ebrahim, as the keynote speaker.

The event is strictly by invitation and visitors require prior clearance with SAIIA. At this event, high profile guests including academics, policymakers and diplomats will learn about the Africa Portal and its usefulness as a research tool on Africa’s current policy issues.

The Portal is a partnership between SAIIA, the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Canada and Makerere University in Uganda.
