CIGI and the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) are co-hosting a symposium on managing African armed conflicts, to be held in Pretoria, South Africa. The symposium is the capstone event of the first phase of a CIGI Global Security & Politics Program project on regional conflict management in Africa, focusing on the response to political crisis and violent conflict.
The purpose of the meeting will be to review and critique key insights, issues and conclusions that come out of the first phase of the project, and to draw out some recommendations for policy and further research.
