Since 2001, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) organizes AEP as an international conference that gathers about 40 economists from around the world to discuss economic issues that are important to Asian economies, collectively and individually. Selected papers together with their discussions are published in the Asian Economic Papers from MIT Press. The AEP’s Steering Committee presently comprises of Il Houng Lee of KIEP, Jeffrey Sachs of the EI-Columbia, Fukunari Kimura of Keio University, and Wing Thye Woo of JCI.
